Healthy, tasty, easy peasy.


    500 g Pork stir-fry strips
    2 tbsp peanut oil
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 cm piece ginger, chopped
    1 onion, sliced
    500 g mixed green cabbage, capsicum, cut in bite size pieces
    1 can (120 g) sliced water chestnuts
    3 tbsp salt reduced soy sauce
    2 tbsp sake or rice wine (optional)
    3 spring onions, sliced
    Gather all equipment and prepared ingredients. Heat wok until hot. Add a drizzle of oil, stir-fry garlic and ginger until fragrant. Stir-fry pork in 1–2 batches. Cook pork for about 1–2 minutes until ‘medium done' and remove.

    Add a little more oil, stir-fry onions and vegetables until just done. Return pork. Add water chestnuts, soy sauce and sake to taste.

    Heat through, taste, sprinkle with spring onions. Serve with steamed rice and some fresh chilli sauce.
